STR Labs is a NABL and ISO certified testing laboratory providing reliable geotechnical investigation, material testing, NDT services, surveying, and research solutions for infrastructure and construction projects.
Geotechnical Investigation
Geotechnical investigation is a fundamental engineering process that involves systematic evaluation of subsurface conditions to support safe, economical, and durable infrastructure development. At STR Labs, we conduct detailed geotechnical investigations to characterize soil and rock strata, groundwater conditions, and geotechnical parameters required for informed foundation design and construction planning.
Our investigations include borehole drilling, standard penetration tests (SPT), plate load tests, pile load tests, and earth resistivity testing, combined with comprehensive laboratory analysis of soil and rock samples. These studies enable accurate determination of bearing capacity, shear strength parameters, compressibility, permeability, and settlement characteristics of subsurface materials under varying loading conditions.
Advanced field and laboratory testing methods are employed to evaluate soil behavior across different strata and ground profiles. The integration of in-situ test data with laboratory results allows for reliable assessment of soil–structure interaction, slope stability, and foundation performance. Special consideration is given to site-specific conditions such as groundwater fluctuations, seismic effects, and variable soil compositions.
All geotechnical investigations are carried out in accordance with relevant Indian Standards (IS codes) and established engineering practices. The findings are presented in detailed geotechnical reports that provide clear recommendations on foundation type, depth, allowable bearing pressure, and construction precautions. Our geotechnical investigation services support risk mitigation, optimize design efficiency, and ensure long-term structural stability for residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
